New-Energy Battery Materials

Focusing on the continuously growing new-energy vehicles, Chemspec has developed a series of lithium-ion-battery-used electrolyte additives with both performance advantage and cost advantage, by taking advantage of the fluorochemical technologies developed by Chemspec over the years of operation and by paying attention to the difference between raw materials and craft. At present, Chemspec’s electrolyte additives, such as LiFSI, DTD and LiPO2F2, have been sold to the major electrolyte customers at home and abroad, and have been widely used in electro-mobile brands such as Porsche, Volkswagen and BAIC.

Purpose

Product Status

Lithium bisfluorosulfonimide

LiFSI

In performance, LiFSI can solve technical problems common to high-energy-density lithium batteries, such as short cycle life (especially under high temperature) and safety hazards.

Comparing with its peer products, Chemspec’s products achieve a lower price, a higher quality and a higher gross margin. The new phase of project, with a production capacity of 1,500 tons, has gone into operation in Quzhou. The new production line, with a capacity of 10,000 tons, is to be put into production in Lanzhou.

Fluoroethylene carbonate

FEC

It is used to enhance the capacity, cycle life and low-temperature performance of battery.

The development of new process has completed, and volume production is to start.

Ethylene sulfate

DTD

It is able to improve battery’s high-temperature cycle performance, high-temperature storage performance and low-temperature discharge performance, by improving the high-temperature stability of SEI film.

The development of new process has completed, and pilot plant test is under preparation.
